What I'm Using: January 2026
Two things I'm loving right now: a K-beauty product that actually lives up to the hype, and finally cracking my note-taking system after years of app-hopping.
in SKINCARE
Beauty of Joseon Ground Rice and Honey Glow Mask
My sister has been using this consistently for months and her skin has never looked better. Honestly, it took seeing her results for me to finally try it.
What it does: leaves your skin genuinely soft overnight. For her, it’s evened out her complexion, added brightness, and noticeably improved texture.
I’ve been a Beauty of Joseon fan for a while now. Their Dynasty Cream is next on my list once I finish my current moisturiser.
a REFINED RESET
Building a personal curriculum (and actually sticking to it)
I spend hours on YouTube learning things, having thoughts, saving articles... but rarely treating it like actual learning. It’s curiosity meets entertainment, but nothing sticks.
At the end of 2025, I did a family presentation night on building a personal curriculum. The timing couldn’t have been better because I’d just discovered Obsidian.
My current system:
Obsidian (my second brain)
Arc Browser easels for quick captures
Phone reminders via action button
Raindrop.io for articles (though Obsidian’s Clipper is taking over)
After years of bouncing between Notion, Milanote, Apple Notes, and countless other apps, Obsidian feels different. Community plugins, I own my content, no subscription. It can do everything I need in one place.
I started an Ali Abdaal-inspired information recall note a couple of years ago. It has five entries. This time feels different though. I’m excited to see my knowledge graph actually build over 2026.
Current hyperfixation levels: high. Hours spent optimising: many. Regrets: zero.
Aniisa 💛
